Dr. Dawn Kelk, PhD, HCLD is the Laboratory Director at Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut where she is responsible for all clinical laboratory functions in RMACT’s laboratories, including embryology/IVF, andrology and endocrinology.
Dr. Kelk earned her BS in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, as well as a Masters in Science and a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the same institution. She is a board certified High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD).
Dr. Kelk has worked in reproductive medicine and embryology for over twenty years. Prior to joining RMACT, Dr. Kelk was the Laboratory Director of IVF and Andrology at Genesis Fertility Centre for nearly five years.
Dr. Kelk has authored more than 30 articles and abstracts on assisted reproduction. She is well known for her research in the areas of embryo biopsy for preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), nuclear/cytoplasmic transfer, in vitro maturation, fertilization and culture.
Dr. Kelk is a member of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology (SART), the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the Reproductive Laboratory Technologists Professional Group (RLTPG) and Reproductive Biology Professional Group (RBPG). She serves on the ASRM abstract grading committee for RBPG, RLTPG and SART, and is an ad hoc reviewer for the Journal of Andrology and Fertility and Sterility. She has lectured widely throughout the US and Canada.
